Plantronics, a world leader in personal audio communications for professionals and consumers, derives nearly all its revenues from sales through distributors, retailers, OEMs, and telephony service providers. With nearly two-thirds of the company’s revenue coming from the US and APAC, sales in Europe are fast growing, particularly in the area of Unified Communications. The company wanted to improve collaborative planning using the weekly inventory, and reduce the administrative workload of acquiring and aggregating channel partner data, but faced some challenges:
