Zyme Solutions, a fully outsourced SAS 70-compliant service provider, recently announced its presence in the channel management market with its Outsourced Channel Visibility Services.
Zyme acts as the ‘channel visibility department’ for technology product companies that sell through distribution channel partners and offers services such as collecting and scrubbing daily and weekly sales and inventory data feeds from channel partners, following up with channel partners to resolve errors and discrepancies. It takes over the process for capturing and validating critical channel information such as sales and inventory levels resulting in significant improvements in the quality, efficiency, and reliability of channel operations.
Chandran Sankaran, founder & CEO, Zyme Solutions, said, “Any product company carries a lot of liability and the basic problems faced are the inventory, revenue recognition and commercial rebates. We see a lot of problems in tier 2 and end market, but at present companies are facing trouble at the basic tier 1 level as well and this will take some time to clear up. As we sign up newer vendors and look into tier 1 in a broader perspective, we will definitely have a success story to say. The lack of channel visibility and process control has large financial and operating consequences, including erroneous overpayments to channel partners and unsold inventory in the channel that has to be written off.”
Zyme does not involve in taking channel decisions. It has a set of trained analysts who spot trend problems and rectify by conducting other analyses to ensure the data is valid. They are also experts in processing, validating, and auditing rebate, verifying special pricing and price protection claims. They analyze sell-through information to enable sales commission.
Zyme’s present clientele include Symantec and Linksys, among others. It also has direct distribution partners like Ingram Micro, Redington, Wipro, etc who carry inventory on behalf of Zyme clients.
