Reading, UK – February 28 2017, Zyme, the market leader in the rapidly growing discipline of Channel Data Management (CDM), has announced its first European customer networking event in Denmark. Held on March 15th, and focused on the consumer technology sector, the roundtable will bring senior executives together to debate the CDM business agenda and the impact it is having on current data management policies. The conversation will focus on the fact that $5 trillion worth of POS data, and $1.5 trillion worth of inventory data, flows through the global indirect channel every year – and look at ways to maximise its business value. Despite growing shareholder demands for channel transparency, some businesses are yet to truly gain control over this information.
During the discussions, attendees will be encouraged to share best-practice protocols in this area, as well as sharing the business benefits seen following Zyme implementations. Logitech is one of the companies that will be presenting at the event, and optimising channel processes to positively impact the bottom line will be a key agenda item.
“We have a wealth of knowledge within our customer base and this event is an excellent opportunity for data leaders to gather and share CDM experiences,” said Nick Andrews, MD for EMEA & India at Zyme. “The Global CDM Summits that Zyme has hosted in the past proved invaluable to customers and prospects who wanted to learn more about CDM environments that similar businesses were running. We now want to continue that learning through more focused events that can also offer the opportunity to really drill down to the finer details.”
Recent research from Zyme entitled “The UK Channel Data Management Barometer Report”, suggested that UK hardware companies see the proportion of sales coming through the channel increasing whilst 53% see the number of channel partners they work with growing. Ultimately, as a direct result, 79% said networks were becoming more influential within their commercial ecosystem.
